A full-day experience among beautiful nature, discovering hidden treasures on the eastern side of Lake Como and tasting local specialties.
Walking along old trails, finding past time signs. Snuggling up with your footsteps while feeling the scent of olive trees and the colors of wild flowers. Discover old villages where time stands still, your mind breaks free and hidden ages still survive. Put the present day on hold and get yourself into history and nature: old mule tracks, mystery tales and dense woods, breathtaking views and local food specialties, just as the old travellers. Your day starts with a “Goodmorning Lake Como!” from Castello di Vezio. You’ll be then walking through the old “Wayfarers’ trail” discovering Nature and History on the way to your destination: lunch at a traditional Crotto restaurant at the end of the hike. After lunch you will visit one of the most important olive oil mill on the whole Lake before walking down to Bellano and catch the train back to Varenna.
Varenna is very easy to reach by train from Milano; The same train goes back to Milano from Bellano. It’s also easy to move around by ferry. This tour is pet-friendly. Lola, the tour guide’s companion will be more than happy to make new friends.
