Who’s Mamete Prevostini? Come with us and meet the historical Mese family (from Chiavenna). Their history starts with managing a restaurant and they soon became a real reference for wine-making in Valtellina Valley. Our tour will take you to their old wine cellars where everything started back in time. We will taste some of their best wines together with their Brisaola.
We will then move to what we love to call “North Italian Pompei”, in Piuro, where we will have a perfect lunch based on a very special Slow Food product: “Violino di Capra”. Mario, the owner, will take us for a visit of his beautiful farm, his fields and animals, the real producers of all his tasty food.
On the way back to the train station in Chiavenna, we will stop for a while at the suggestive Acqua Fraggia Waterfall in Piuro.
