This walk follows the famous “Sentiero del Viandante” on the eastern side of Lake Como, in Mandello del Lario. A walk along the old wayfarers trail, across old villages and lush vegetation discovering hidden gems around Lake Como. Up and down the hills with magnificent views, olive trees and wild flowers. You’ll first stop at the medieval Church of Saint George to breath in some good energy while enjoying a beautiful view over the lake. Your destination will be waiting for you with a big delicious lunch based on local homemade specialties: a feast for your tummy and soul. After lunch you’ll walk back to the city center for a good ice-cream or for relaxing on the beach. Take your towel with you. If the weather will be very hot you might want to have a quick refreshing swim before heading back home.
Mandello del Lario is very easy to reach by train or ferry boat.
Attention! Lunch menu can’t be customized. It’s a fixed daily menu based on local specialties and traditional recipes. Therefore, it’s not suitable to people with serious food allergies/intolerances.
Special Extra Options on request for private big groups:
. Picnic breakfast with a view at Saint George Church
. Breakfast with local produces and specialties, introduced by our local Slow Food ambassador
. Guided visit of the medieval Church and its XV Century Frescoes (preferably on Sundays)
. Entrance at the Moto Guzzi Museum to learn about the unique history of our precious pride.

Trekking shoes are mandatory: your guide of the day reserves the right to refuse all participants with no proper shoes.

. RACCOMANDIAMO! Water, Comfortable sporty clothes and trekking shoes, sweatshirt and rainproof jacket in case of unstable weather / sunscreen, sunglasses, hat in hot summer days. Swimsuit and towel if you want to swim in the lake in the afternoon.
